About you (bio)

Arlo "The Golden Boy" Collier trains at Lawrence Fight Club and has been training since he was seven, after growing up watching old UFC fights with his dad. He wrestled in high school before committing to MMA, lost his first amateur fight at eighteen, then ran off a four-fight win streak, all by decision. He works as an electrician — an apprentice a little over a year in — and his motivation is to reach the UFC.

At Crash 7 he went five rounds in a featherweight title fight and lost a decision; because his opponent missed weight, the belt was not awarded. He returned with a decisive win on a Synergy card, which put him back in line for the title he now meets Terel Jones for at Crash Combat 8. He works under coaches Zac Buescher, Wayman Carter and jiu-jitsu coach Charlie Hershey, and spars at Twin Dragons MMA.

Born just outside Lawrence and still there — "stay in the homeland" — he keeps it simple going in: "We're going to go out there, get a win, get a belt."
